Mixed numbers consist of an integer followed by a fraction.

How to subtract mixed numbers that have the same denominator:
- If the second fraction is larger than the first, borrow 1 whole in the first mixed number
- Subtract the second numerator from the first, and place that difference over the common denominator
- Subtract the integer portions of the two mixed numbers
- State the answer
