Divide Fractions: Learn

To divide a fraction by a whole number:

  • Rewrite the whole number as a fraction with 1 as the denominator
  • Divide just like any other fractions
  • Simplify the result, but do not convert to a mixed number unless the instructions say to do so

Example: Divide 2/9 by 2
